A place to set something down.

Therapy for anxiety, complex trauma, life transitions and fatherhood.

Hi, I’m Dan.

First and foremost, I don’t want to distract with too much jargon. If you’d like to learn more about my credentials and training please do so here.

Perhaps you are a high performing anxious type. You’ve been successful by most external measures. You’ve learned to use anxiety as fuel: deadlines, pressure, achievement. You look fine from the outside, maybe even impressive. You are often the last person anyone would guess is struggling. The wins don't land the way they should. There's always the next thing. Rest feels unsafe or unearned. Relationships can suffer because the same drive that produces results also produces control, distance, or irritability. Internally it's loud. I can help turn the volume down.

Or maybe you’re someone who has lived through challenging experiences. Someone for whom the past still shows up. Conditioning from long ago manifests in your body, your thoughts, your relationships, and moments you can't always explain or trace back to a source. You don’t necessarily have a single dramatic event to point to. Your experiences were cumulative, which can make it hard to even claim the word “trauma” - nothing ‘that bad’ happened, after all. Still, you carry a set of burdens that run on autopilot. I’m here to help you turn off autopilot.

Possibly you’re going through a life transition. Feeling disoriented. A new job, a move, a relationship ending or beginning, an unexpected loss. I’ll help you find your footing when the ground has shifted.

Could be you’re adjusting to fatherhood or are a soon-to-be dad. You knew everything would change but you didn’t quite expect this. Trying to show up as partner, provider, and parent while grieving parts of your old life. Of course it’s wonderful, yet you’re wondering if you’re good enough, struggling to manage your own emotions and losing the tether to who you used to be. Yeah, I know that terrain well and can help you navigate it.

I also have a particular affinity toward being therapist to other therapists. You know how to hold space for others. It’s not always easy to find it for yourself. You're not immune to the things you treat. I'm here to see you as a human first and let you turn off your clinical mind
