I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York State and received my master’s degree from the University at Buffalo. I have worked in a variety of mental health settings including community clinics, private practice groups and as the assistant director of a co-occurring substance abuse treatment facility.

More than anything, this work is about the relationship between you and me. I embrace an approach of being radically genuine. I’m a real human who actually cares. It’s my job to create a space where you can think out loud, feel heard without judgment, be safe to say the things you can’t say anywhere else and work through what's troubling you at your own pace - often uncovering your own answers in the process.

I am fortunate to wholeheartedly love what I do. I think therapy is fun, personally fulfilling and endlessly interesting. I’m lucky to have found my calling in life.

I am formally trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

EMDR: helps people who feel stuck in painful memories or past experiences, reducing their emotional charge so those events no longer control how they think, feel, or move through the world.

IFS: works from the idea we are all made of different ‘parts’ and even the ones that seem to be causing problems are trying to help. IFS helps calibrate your ‘system’ so it works for you, rather than against you.

SFBT: assumes the solution to your problems is already somewhere in your life. It starts with what is already working and rapidly builds on it to get you where you want to be.

MI: for anyone who feels stuck between wanting to change and not being able to. It helps you work through that ambivalence and find your own reasons to move forward.

Mindfulness: cultivates a set of skills that allow you to exist in the present, without judgment.

Calm. Authentic. Present.

Outside of being a therapist:

I enjoy hiking, cooking, nature photography, being a dad to my 2 young kiddos and on rare occasions having a chance to sit down and do nothing but drink a cup of coffee.
